Chess Meets Necromancy sends anonymous gameplay analytics so we can balance the game. It collects no personal data. Your saves stay on your device and in your own iCloud.
What is collected
Gameplay events. The app records anonymous events as you play: run start, resume and end, waves cleared, turns, kills, relics taken or skipped, traits bought, summons placed, bosses encountered and defeated, hero switches, events and routes chosen, promotions, Grimoire upgrades, tutorial completion, and whether the review prompt was shown. Each event carries the current hero and wave.
Device information. The analytics tool adds the app version and build number, OS version, device model, locale and region, a timestamp rounded to the hour, and an anonymous ID. The ID is a random value per install, salted and hashed on your device and hashed again on TelemetryDeck’s servers, so it can’t be linked back to you.
Never collected: your name, email address, contacts, location, IP address or advertising identifier.
Why
Only to balance the game and see where players get stuck or stop playing. There are no ads. We do not track you across apps or websites, sell data, or build profiles.
Third parties
- TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany) receives the analytics above and hosts it in the EU. It stores no IP addresses. See the TelemetryDeck privacy policy.
- Apple iCloud syncs your saves between your devices.
- Apple Game Center handles scores and achievements, if you choose to sign in.
What is stored on your device
The game saves your run state, unlocks and settings on your device and syncs them through your iCloud account. We can’t read them.
Accounts
We don’t run accounts. Signing in to Game Center is optional and handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your name, email or Apple ID.
Purchases
The app has no in-app purchases.
Data retention
TelemetryDeck keeps raw analytics events for 90 days, then deletes them.
Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13. It sends only anonymous gameplay analytics. It is not directed at children specifically.
Your rights
Analytics can’t be traced back to a person, so we can’t look up, export or delete one player’s data. There is no in-app switch to turn analytics off. Deleting the app stops all analytics. To remove your saves, delete the app and its iCloud data in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what the app collects, we will update this policy before that version ships and change the date at the top.
